Proper preparation of ceilings, walls and trim is what makes a paint job stand out. In sense you are restoring the room from any imperfections that take away from a freshly painted room. The preparation for fixing these imperfections takes the proper experience, knowledge and equipment.

 

 Our Interior Standard

Setup

  • Large furniture is moved into the center of the room.
  • Furniture is covered with plastic.
  • Floors are covered with contractor paper or canvas drop cloths.

  Preparation

  • Nails, picture hangers are removed
  • Nail hole pops or extrusions are knocked in
  • Nail holes or any intrusions are filled with compound
  • Unevenness in the sheetrock or plaster is skim coated
  • Walls and ceilings are scuff-sanded with a Porter Cable Drywall Sander attached to a vacuum to avoid dust
  • Wood work trim is sanded with a sponge
  • Gaps in trims are caulked.
  • Stains, such as water marks, are sealed with oil cover stain.

 Painting

  • Repaired areas are primed.
  • Paint is applied with a brush, roller or sprayer depending on the surface.
  • Ceilings and walls are painted to proper coverage and finish color.
  • Clean-cut lines between trim & walls.
  • Only premium quality paints are used.

Cleanup

  • Furniture is moved back to original positions.
  • Wall and ceiling fixture are replaced.
  • Floors and carpets are thoroughly clean with a vacuum.
  • All garbage is removed.
  • Touchup paint is labeled and left with the customer.

 Inspection

Before the crew packs up their equipment, a "wet walk-around" is done to ensure all contracted areas are painted properly
